TreguierIt was the birth place in 1253 of Yves Helory de Kermartin, priest and defender of the poor and the humble. In 1347 he was canonised and is the patron saint of Lawyers.
On 19th May each year the Saint Yves pardon is an occasion for men of law to meet for a grand mass in the cathedral.

1 hour from Coat Salou. Try and explore the old quarter where several 16th and 17th century half-timbered houses remain. There is a vast bay which is renowned for scallop and mussel rearing on bouchots (wooden posts stuck in the sand). For the ornithologist there are vast numbers of sea birds.
In the spring, tides are so big the sea retreats approximately 7 kilometres - clearly the Weston super Mare of Brittany!
